PHP POS Payments Standard

Introduction

PHP POS Standard offers a great payment processing with affordable devices. that lets you easily integrate payments with your system. The breakdown below tells you how to get set up.

Sign Up

First, sign up with PHP POS Payments Standard. You can sign up here. Once you have signed up, you’ll receive an enrollment letter with all of the information you need.

Hardware Setup and Software Installation

The letter you received on enrollment will detail how to download the PHP POS Payments software.

The hardware will be mailed to you. The only hardware requirements are setting up your new card reader with a power source, internet source, and your PHP POS software device.

Information about setting your reader up with internet access can be found below:

VP 100 & VL 100 

Turn off the device and turn it upside down. 

If you are using an ethernet connection, plug your ethernet cable into the LAN port. Power the device back on and tap the Connection icon on the home screen. 

If you plan to use a WiFi connection, power on the device. Click Yes, Connect on the screen. Select your location’s SSID and enter the password button. Hit OK on the pad when done.

To switch from another connection type to WiFi, tap the Connection icon in the top right of the touch screen and choose WiFi.

VL 110

Flip the device upside down and remove the back cover. Insert the SIM card in the bottom right as highlighted below. 

Replace the back cover and turn the device back over. Tap the Connection icon at the top of the touch screen. Select GPRS

If you are connecting to WiFi, press Yes, Connect on the screen. Select your location’s SSID and enter the password button. Hit OK on the pad when done.

Get Valor Credentials

Log into your Valor account at https://online.valorpaytech.com/. (You will have received an e-mail from Valor to establish an account once approved by PHP POS Payments)

Click My Settings in the left menu. 

Click the API Keys button at the top. 

Click the plus sign button to the right to add a new device. 

Select the desired EPI

Check the 2FA box to the left and then click Save at the bottom. 

Click the copy icons to the right to save the App Id and App Key for later use.

 

Configure PHP POS

Once you have the hardware set up and software installed, it’s time to configure PHP POS to communicate with the reader.

Login to PHP POS and navigate to Locations in the left menu.

Click to Edit the location you want to set the new credit card processor for.

Select Integrations in the top tabs. 

Scroll down to check the box for Enable Credit card Processing. A dropdown will appear below, click to select PHP POS Payments Standard

Enter your Valor credentials into PHP POS.

Once you have added all the verification information, click the Registers & Terminals tab. 

Add the Valor EPI and Valor App Key for the appropriate registers.
