If you are using the download version and need to restore from backup, you need to follow the following steps depending on how you installed

1. Using Our automated installer

When you use our automated installer, restoring couldn't be easier. Make sure you have the backup file on the computer you are restoring to. Then when you run the installer, during one of the steps it will ask you if you want to restore from backup. You would choose yes and then browse to the file. All your data will be restored

2. Using manual install onto your own server

When using manual install; you would simply upload the code and create an empty database. Then you would replace database/database.sql with your backup file and then point your browser to the pos location. You will then be prompted to install. NOTE: This could take a long time depending on how large your database is.
