System Bug: Items are hidden when cloned.
Items created manually will show in the grid, however, if you decide to copy an item using the clone feature wouldn't be available in the sales grid.
Please advise.

I am not seeing this issue. I tried on 17.5 on our public demo
I am guessing you have “do not allow out of Stock items to show in grid” on
Yes, I have the 'do not allow out of Stock items to show in grid' ON, and the variations quantity is set to above 0. ( as far as I can see it's not out of stock)
It sounds that the cloned feature is broken with the above store config turned on, please advise what am I doing wrong?
Ah yes. With variations we will clone these attributes in the next release so this doesn't happen. We have developed this and will be in next release
