Related products? How to do them?
Lightspeed had a concept of related products.
Sell item A and it adds an item B to the invoice. B can be removed or set to 0 qty if not needed as it's optional.
We used it extensively and can't figure out how to do it in phppos. At first we tried using item kits but that doubles our items. We must make a kit for every single item that requires another optional component and it's confusing for staff to remember (use this barcode for the item along and this one for the item with the bundle.)
How can we simply tag an item so that if it's added to an invoice, add this other item and the sales rep can remove if desired?
Example:
We sell items in reuseable protective covers for displaying. We don't generally want to sell them, but occasionally a customer wants to keep the cover. If so, there is a cost. Also some times staff forget to remove the cover and the extra line item with cost is a perfect reminder.

We don't have a perfect way to do this. HOWEVER in 17.4 for an item or category there is a field "Information Popup When Adding To Sale:". So when the item is added there would be a reminder to do this.
Love this feature, would it be possible to add it to the "Price Rules" feature as well? I have lots sales that are "Buy one item, and receive a related item from a different category" that are sponsored by some of our distributors and would love to have the pop up window show up only for the allotted time that the sale is available for.
I also noticed that I could not add pop-up descriptions to multiple items at once via the "Edit Multiple Items" window when selection a number of items to add the pop up to.
