which size of a logo can I upload and how, I have tried uploading but it is not being received nor appearing on the receipt. please help

Make sure it is a jpeg,png,or gif. The size should be 255 x 90. You can upload in 2 places (Locations --> edit (takes priority) or Store config --> logo). Also make sure your server has gd library installed
I am using wampserver 3.1.4 does it have gd library?
not 100% sure. Make a file called info.php with <?php phpinfo();?> and see if you see a section for gd
