HOW TO SHOW CATEGORIES IN SALES INTERFACE
is it possible to add category in sales interface? As it shown in ID of item during sales prosses
or to appear in receipt?

Along this line, as useful as a lot of these options are for some of us, I think the number of descriptors for each items as they appear in the Sales window might be getting a little unwieldy. We're up to 8 lines now, besides the Item Name, so each Item occupies an awful lot of vertical space. it's not too bad for small purchases, but presents some challenges with larger (i.e., greater number of unique items) sales.
Quantity Picked Up is great for Layaways, but probably not for the other 95% of our sales. The jury is still out as to whether it's useful to have for all sales.
Tier is not really important item by item - the appearance of the Tier with customer information on the right is adequate for our purposes. it would be nice to be able to have it not show up for each Item.
Description is not important to show, since we use it only for internal purposes - but there's a way to turn it off with the config setting - "Hide Description on Sales and Receivings interfaces" - which I greatly appreciate
Category certainly sounds useful in some scenarios, but not for us. it would be nice to be able to opt out on that one.
Serial is very useful for us for certain items, and is item-specific, which I think is perfect.
Product ID is essential for product verification after entry, and I'd hate to not have it appear.
Stock is certainly useful for tracked items, but I wish it wouldn't appear for Service items.
Tax is irrelevant to us, since we don't have a state tax. I'd like to be able to leave that off.
So that's my two cents. Again, I have no way of knowing how much of this is practical from a programming perspective, but anything that could be done would be much appreciated.
