rental equipment

I have various rental equipment I rent out.  I have put Rental equipment in items and when that comes up I put what is rented in the description.  Problem is it only will do 1 item if I go to put in rental eqip. again it says 2 items and will not take a description of what I am renting along with the 1 item. 

Any help would be appreciated on this

    Do you want 2 line items? For that item check the box item has serial number
