Is there future plan to support offline mode?

In case of cloud version, this will be so helpful for those who have poor internet connection.

But mostly all competitors in the POS industry have this feature. I think it can be developed easily as described in these links: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/12272302/how-to-build-a-php-mysql-application-that-works-offline#answers-header
    https://www.sitepoint.com/offline-web-application-tutorial

Also for the mobile applications for Android and iOS, it is more simply to implement this.

We have gotten this request; it isn't super easy to do but will consider it for a future release.

    Hi again Chris,

Is there a current consideration for supporting offline mode in a feature release?

    Thanks!

We have started development for this. It will either be in 17.2 or 17.3

Chris - Thanks for taking this on.  Looks like you have released 17.3.  Is offline a feature now?

Hi Chris - Did you guys make any progress on Offline Mode as you are now on version 17.5?

It will be really awesome if you did :)

Hi, I have a suggestion to create a CRON that would enable synchronization between a locally hosted phhpos and a cloud-hosted one as it is between phppos and quickbooks online. Is it possible?

This isn't easily possible. The only way that I could this might work is use galera cluster. This is unsupported with POS but it would be 2 way syncing of databases.

I have checked galera cluster and seen it, is there any plans of developing it?. Because most of us were expecting offline online mode at version 17.4 or 17.5 that are already released.

The problem we have had with offline as there is not native support for a database in the browser and haven't found a fast solution yet.

We have a proof of concept working, but it will take a while before we have a fully working model. We still plan to add but timeline is unknown
