Setting product expiration dates

John

We are moving from another POS.  When entering the products we also set the stock level and entered the number of days until the items expired thinking that would set the date in the same ways as we could set the stock levels.  This wasn't the case - we have just discovered 200 products in.

How do you set the expiration dates without going through the receiving module for initial stock entry.

Also, how can you delete a receiving?  (we have the site in 'test mode' but its recorded the receiving!)

expire dates have to go through the recv. module because that is how it knows when that batch is due to expire. Test mode is just for sales. You can delete a receiving by going to Reports --> Receivings --> Detailed then click edit next to it and then delete.

Currently the system only contain one expiry date (the latest from the most recent recv)? Is there anyway to store all expiry date for different batch of receiving?

I think the way it works is to assume the oldest products are sold first.
