How to customize Items
Hi,
I'd like to add some fields to my setup. By example, we have a third kind of price in our model. What is the best way to add a field to an Item. I also need to customize the customer model.

We have price tiers built in that will help with multiple price levels. Our next release will have 10 custom fields for items. You can already do custom fields for customers.
When does the next release is plan? Can I update with my purchased?

About 4-8 weeks. If you have purchased within last year at time of release it would be a free upgrade.
I look at the Price Tiers and this is not what I need. There is no define formula for this MAP price. Impossible to calculate it based on Retail or Cost. And, I cannot wait up to 8 months. I need those fields before.
It is 4-8 weeks for custom fields for items (not 8 months).
When setting up tiers you have fixed price, percent off, cost plus percent or cost plus fixed amount as options for determining the selling price. What logic do you need for pricing?

There is no logic. For each items there is MAP price selected by the merchant. That's all. If I set up a Tiers, will I see the field for each Item created or edited ? And can I import our present inventory with this tiers in the Excel file ?

The tier's apply to the entire sale NOT item by item but we could be changing this in future to do item by item tiers.

After reviewing our whole needs, I really need to customize Items and Customer in the next days. We cannot wait 4-8 weeks. Can you please, point me out what I need to modify for Items to add fields successfully and keeping the integrity of the system. I will in time, merge with the next version.
