Multiple suppliers per item

We would like to be able to attach multiple suppliers to an item. Is this something that could be developed?

I have put this request in our internal tracker. This has been requested before so will be higher prioirty

It would be useful for us, too, but really only if there's an option to indicate a primary supplier.
