New Feature Questions (re. v17.2 and 17.3)
There were some really solid features added, but I have questions about a few:
1. "add Quick Link to complete suspended transfer":
- how does this work? I do a lot of transfers, and can't see a way to do this.
2. "added condensed closeout report "
- during closeout, I don't see an option to choose the condensed report - can this be done only through Reports-Closeout-condensed summary report?
3. "can now mark items damaged outside of return"
- how is this done?
4. For a number of reports, we can now filter by Register, by Customer Tier, and by Item Category.
- for me, it would be more valuable to be able to Sort, rather than Filter, but each of these variables. At least I don't see a way to generate a report including all items/sales/customers for a specific time period, and SORTED by register, tier, or category. Could there be a way of doing this? Or is there a way and I'm just missing it?

1. Okay, there it is.
2. Being a separate report, I take it that the tapes that print out with the "Close Register" function will remain the same, then.
3. In Items, I know that I can click on the box in front of the item and have options, I can click on the "..." after the item and have options, or I can click on Edit and have options. But I don't see an option for counting an item as damaged in any of these.
4. That would be very helpful. I don't need an itemized (detailed) list, but it's helpful to have one for sales summaries by category. For instance, I like to be able to compare POS records with what I end up with in the Quickbooks reports - kind of like a QB P&L statement or Sales Summary Report.
Also, when I export sales from PHP to QBO, I go by categories rather than specific items, since I don't want to get bogged down in the detail of coordinating a couple thousand items between the two. So the POS-based sales summaries would offer me a greater level of detail than what I can get out of QB.
As an example, I have 10-20 different sizes if items within some categories, where each size has 40-50 colors. I've always been able to estimate how many - by color - I might need to make to have on hand for future sales by looking at past sales history for specific time periods. I just can't find a way to do that in PHP. There are lots of great features in PHP POS, but I'd say this is the one I miss most from previous POS's I've had.
