There are a surprising number of communication methods in this POS - the Customer Comments, the Customer/Sales Internal Notes (which show up in both Customer and Sales info), The Sales Comments, the Messages, the Appointments.  in fact, the biggest challenge has been to determine which method is best for any given situation.

Speaking of which, is there any way to allow Replies in the Messages?  We've figured out that they're useful only for "declarations", but even then it's hard to know when there may need to be responses to them - then, the only choices are to create a new, unconnected Message, or transfer the thread to email.

This was meant for more of announcement type features but we will see if we can add threading to a future release

Chris, I have a few ideas for the intern notes feature. Would it be possible to implement an edit button instead of always having the filed be editable? I would also like to see a permission for whether an employee can edit the internal notes or not. Might not want all staff to be able to edit it.

What I really wanted was something like the internal notes feature but with a popup style window so it's right in the user's face. The idea is that an employee is more likely to see it.

Chris, that's what I figured, but sometimes there's an awfully fine line between a one-way announcement and a message that someone will want to respond to.

Carlos, Wow, those are some pretty specific ideas!  You must have some particular circumstances in mind where you could've used those features.  You must rely on your customer database a lot - it seems that the information we get is kind of hit and miss and not as crucial, so I'm not sure getting that locked down would help us much.  And the pop-up window sounds like it would be pretty cool, but then I start thinking of all sorts of other prompts that could come up that way and in different modules of the POS,  But I guess all that is a ways down on my wish list.
