Version 15.2 Feature
In version 15.2 you can now require coupon codes to activate the price rules:
Creating Price Rules
Confirmation Dialog prompt to add qualifying items
You can enable confirmation dialogs in store configuration options to add the qualifying discount items to the sale:

To create a promotional deal on an Item go to the Price Rules Module and select "Create Rule" and then fill out the provided fields. You can only have one promotion for an item at a time for a given date range. If more than one are created it will use the latest one.

Click "Create Rule"
Select a Rule Type and fill out the provided fields:

Simple Discount
This rule allows you to set either a Percent Discount or Flat Discount on an Item, Item kit, Tag or Category.
Example: Get 20% Off

Advanced Discount
This rule allows you to make price breaks when the customer buys a certain number of items.
Example: Buy 10 at 5% off each, 20 at 10% off each, 30 or more at 20% off each

Buy X Get Y Free (BOGO)
This rule requires the customer to purchase X quantity of an item to get Y quantity of the item at no cost.
Example: Buy 2 Get 1

Buy X Get Discount
This rule requires the customer to purchase X quantity of an item to get Y quantity of the item at a discount.
Example: Buy 2 get 50% OFF

Spend X Get Discount
This rule requires the customer to spend a subtotal amount of X to get either a discount off X amount or a flat discount off the entire purchase.
Example: Spend $100 get $10 back

Coupons
For each price rule you create with version 15.2 you can now specify a coupon code to redeem the discount described by the price rule:

When creating a price rule check the box "Requires Coupon"
Printing coupon with barcode on receipt
Optionally you can also Print Coupons on the Receipts by checking the checkbox when creating a price rule.
